I carefully scrape my words
I make them portable
they fall
To show up
A fascination for materiality and an eye for refinement.
Inside a fragile building
creating portable spaces.

Nabloei is a collection of poems about me and the other and the other in me. The poems were ritually written in 30 days, after which the words were carefully 'polished'. The story is divided into three phases – comparable to the physical and chemical use of 'phase' to indicate one of the three appearances of a substance (solid, liquid, gas) – and is similar in structure to a scientific enumeration. The booklet has to be torn open along the perforated side, which is related to the intimacy of the story. Just like personal stories that are secured, the booklet will first have to be torn open before the content can be revealed. Each copy is handbound by the poet. The collection of poems consists of a small edition of 25 copies.
